Fairlawn NJ, a tractor trailer was immobilized after it slammed into a tree limb in front of 25-31 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn on Monday afternoon, 06/22. The Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue Squad and the Fair Lawn DPW worked jointly to free the vehicle from its predicament. No injuries were reported in the mishap. A segment of Fair Lawn Avenue was closed to vehicular traffic in both directions while emergency response crews worked. Police at the scene did not indicate whether any summonses were issued to the tractor trailer  driver. A water main break in the same block also impeded traffic earlier in the day.

  1. Having to go far and wide to chase ambulances.

  2. This happens every day. In the village of Ridgewood every street needs to be Pruned. And I was going to do that. When you have a skeleton crew. They need to stop that work out to get it done. Or hire more workers.

  3. Maybe the police can trim the branches with their late model police cruisers and their MRAPs?

  4. 13’ 5 inches is the max legal high cube
Highway Height subject to local exit
    Town restrictions

Truckers know this and can be detoured or lost then low bridged
Or truck vs trees on residential
    Streets.

When is the last time outside of PSEG
BUTCHERING of town and private trees over electrical wires has anything been done maintenance wise? On walthery ave 10 years ago
Wrong species were planted that are
Giants some over 3 feet in width for
    Young trees with massive canopies
Unlike oaks and maples that have Sunlight and Air circulation

Some of the newer trees on walthery
Are dense as giant pineapples in girth
Despite wires to homes threaded through these monsters .Snow ice loads are winter hazards .

  5. Good work Boyd! Glad you have a job that doesn’t end during a pandemic.

  6. Do you think that truck would fit in the NEW BIG GARAGE?

  7. The police can do it.

  8. Not without charging for double time. They’re soooooo busy making pot busts, rescuing ducklings and protecting Villagers from PSE&G, Verizon and NJ Transit trucks.
