Ridgewood NJ, Seafood lovers in North Jersey, get your butter and lemon ready. The wait for an authentic Maine lobster roll is about to get a whole lot shorter.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is officially expanding into Bergen County, bringing its acclaimed “no-pretension” seafood concept to the heart of downtown Ridgewood. Taking over the prime real estate at 111 E Ridgewood Avenue, this marks a major milestone for the brand as its first outpost in the county.

The Mason’s Philosophy: Simple, Honest, Delicious

Founded in 2014 by lobster aficionado Dan Beck, Mason’s has built a cult following by sticking to the basics. While other restaurants might overcomplicate things with fancy toppings, Mason’s stays true to the traditions of the Maine coast.

“Our lobster comes straight from the waters of Maine,” the brand states. “We prepare each roll according to the simple, honest traditions of the people who live there—no bells, no whistles, and no pretention.”

What’s on the Menu?

The Ridgewood location will feature the core menu that made Mason’s a Maryland and Long Branch favorite. Expect sustainably sourced seafood served in a variety of styles:

  • The Classic Roll: Chilled lobster tossed with a touch of mayo and lemon butter.

  • The Connecticut Roll: Served warm and tossed in melted butter.

  • The Bar Harbor: For those who want more—50% more lobster meat, including the tail.

  • Shrimp & Crab Rolls: Fresh alternatives for variety.

  • New England Classics: Hearty Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, and authentic Maine Root Soda.

While an official grand opening date for the spring 2026 season hasn’t been finalized, the “Coming Soon” signs are already generating buzz among local foodies.
