Paramus NJ, a massive overnight water main break in Paramus affected water pressure throughout the town and caused significant road damage.
The 36-inch water main burst on Spring Valley Road near Trinity Court, supplier Veolia Water tweeted around 3:40 a.m. Monday.
“Paramus customers please note there is a 36″ water main break at Spring Valley Rd intersecting with Trinity Court.”
Paramus police, who first reported the break just after midnight, tweeted that water pressure throughout Paramus was affected.
ParamusALERT: “Water main break on Spring Valley Road near Route 4. Water pressure throughout town is affected. Water company is working to restore pressure.”
A stretch of Spring Valley Road remained closed as of 6 a.m., the department said
ParamusALERT: Spring Valley Rd from Brookfield Ave to Trinity Ct remains closed due to a water main break. Avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
