Maywood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JEFFREY T. STOCKMAN (DOB: 4/13/1972; single; employed as a surgical technician) of 602 Edel Avenue, Maywood, New Jersey on sexual assault charges. The arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Maywood Police Department under the direction of Chief Terence Kenny
On Sunday, July 4, 2021, the Maywood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office regarding a sexual assault of a minor. An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Maywood Police Department. During the investigation, it was determined that JEFFREY STOCKMAN engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a juvenile while in Maywood, New Jersey.
As a result of the investigation, on Monday, July 4, 2021, JEFFREY STOCKMAN was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)(b); one count of second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(3); and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. STOCKMAN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court.
The investigation also revealed that STOCKMAN had sexually assaulted a second juvenile victim. Therefore, on Tuesday, July 5, 2021, STOCKMAN was additionally charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child; N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). He was served while at the Bergen County Jail.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Maywood Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
