Ridgewood resident Megan Vega presented at the 56th Annual New York Emmy Awards in April. She and her team won an Emmy in 2009 for their ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ newscast for My 9 News, where she previously worked.Megan and her husband Gordon Noah like attending local events like the 4th of July festivities with their daughters.Megan Vega provided on-the-spot news coverage for a Superstorm Sandy special that ran on the storm’s 6-month anniversary on April 29.
She didn’t expect to meet her, much less select the silver Jovani gown Vega wore as a presenter at the 56th Annual New York Emmy Awards on April 14.
More often at this time of year, the boutique owner is outfitting her “prom princesses” in sparkling attire, so when Vega, who herself is an Emmy Award winner, emailed Primavera asking for help, she didn’t believe it at first.
“I didn’t know if it was just … you know when sometimes you get an email blast?” said Primavera, who has also outfitted The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Kathy Wakile for an episode. “Lo and behold, she did call me. When she spoke, she was such a genuine, open person.”
