Glen Rock NJ, a homeowner in Glen Rock was hospitalized for smoke inhalation following a minor kitchen fire late Tuesday afternoon, September 3rd. The incident occurred at a home near the intersection of Boulevard and Cornelia Place. Glen Rock Fire Department responded after an off-duty Hawthorne firefighter reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the single-family residence.
Alongside the fire department, Glen Rock EMS and Glen Rock Police Department were also dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the stove top fire had already been extinguished. However, a significant amount of smoke remained in the home, necessitating mechanical ventilation.
The homeowner was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, no other injuries or significant damage were reported. The quick response by local emergency services helped to prevent the situation from escalating further.
