Fair Lawn NJ, late Friday night, March 13, 2026, a quiet stretch of Morlot Avenue became the scene of a dramatic rescue operation. A Nissan Murano traveling eastbound lost control in the 3100 block, slamming into a parked Acura MDX with enough force to flip the SUV onto its roof.
Quick Response by Fair Lawn First Responders
The impact left the driver trapped inside the overturned vehicle, prompting an immediate multi-agency response. Members of the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad performed a precision extrication to free the occupant from the wreckage.
The scene was heavily secured by a joint effort from:
-
Fair Lawn Police Department (FLPD)
-
Fair Lawn Fire Company #3
-
Fair Lawn EMS
-
Fair Lawn Rescue Squad
A Fortunate Outcome
Despite the severe damage to both the Nissan Murano and the parked Acura—both of which had to be towed from the scene due to the extent of the wreckage—early reports bring good news. The extricated driver was evaluated by Fair Lawn EMS and appears to have walked away from the rollover uninjured.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Fair Lawn Police Department.
