“Dear Montvale residents, this is what we are up against and why we are fighting.
Developers, Fair Share Housing, and their lobbyists are forcing massive overdevelopment on our small towns — ignoring our schools, traffic, water, sewer, floodings and infrastructure pressure.
Now, they want to cram a 6-story, 150-unit tower on one acre in our town. This isn’t planning — it’s destruction.
There are thousands of vacant homes in big cities that could be redeveloped into condos, but instead, they’re targeting us. Meanwhile, Jersey City and 61 other towns are exempt and we still send then our tax money to build 1000s more condos that don’t count toward the state’s numbers. Cant make this up!
This fight isn’t about opposing affordable housing — it’s about saving our town’s character, heritage, public safety, and future.
My counter to the developers backed Fair Share Housing Center? Our own residents backed Fair Share Farming Center!! We will enjoy our own farm that we bought with our own money for generations to come and I love it!”
