MONTVALE, NJ — On Sunday, August 11 at 9:47 p.m., the Montvale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire at the intersection of North Kinderkamack Road and Brook Avenue.
Upon arrival, Chief Gibbons confirmed a fully involved vehicle fire and established incident command. Deputy Chief Hopper, along with Rescue/Pumper M1 and Engine M2, quickly arrived on the scene to assist in firefighting efforts.
Fire crews worked efficiently to extinguish the blaze, ensuring the area was safe and preventing the fire from spreading. No injuries were reported during the incident.
As a precaution, Orange and Rockland Utilities was called to inspect the power lines located directly above the fire to ensure there was no electrical hazard.
The Montvale Police Department and Park Ridge Police Department also responded, providing traffic control and on-scene support.
“This was a great example of teamwork between fire, police, and utility crews to keep our community safe,” the Montvale Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement.
