Twp. of Washington NJ, Bergen County Mosquito Control is taking proactive steps to combat the mosquito population in Twp. of Washington. Residents can expect an early morning ULV (Ultra-Low Volume) truck spray on Thursday, September 25th, between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM. This targeted effort is designed to significantly reduce the number of mosquitoes in our community.
The operation will use two different treatments to ensure maximum effectiveness. The first, Duet adulticide, is a powerful agent specifically formulated to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes. This helps to quickly lower the current mosquito population, reducing bites and the risk of disease transmission. The second treatment, Vectobac larvacide, will be used to control mosquito larvae. By targeting the larvae before they can mature, this measure helps to break the breeding cycle and prevent future mosquito populations from flourishing.
This dual-action approach is a key part of an integrated pest management strategy to keep our community safe and comfortable.
