Details of the Incident
Around 11 AM, emergency responders from Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department rushed to the intersection of Boulevard and Madison Avenue, where an SUV, a BMW sedan, and an ambulance were involved in the crash. Upon arrival, Hasbrouck Heights Fire Chief 60 discovered one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters quickly sprang into action, extricating the trapped person while emergency medical services (EMS) evaluated the injuries of several others involved in the accident.
Community Response
The situation required additional resources, prompting the Garfield Fire Department to request Ladder One from Company 4 Firehouse to stand by while they handled a working fire elsewhere. The Wood-Ridge Fire Department also responded to provide mutual aid, showcasing the spirit of cooperation among local emergency services.
