Trenton NJ,People in New Jersey will now be required to wear masks outside in public when social distancing isn’t possible to help prevent the coronavirus from spreading, Gov. Phil Murphy said Wednesday morning. Murphy said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he is signing an executive order today mandating the practice.
In a statement released on Facebook, Assemblywomen Holly Schepisi said, “Once again the Legislature of the State of New Jersey has been given zero notice of another proclamation by One. Apparently the newest, latest and greatest new initiative announced on MSNBC this morning by the Governor is that today he will mandate us to wear masks OUTSIDE. I have supported a lot of the Governor’s Executive Orders but this is becoming absurd. Bergen County, once the epicenter, with significant testing initiatives among the general public, had only 18 cases yesterday. This represents 0.0018% of the population. Gov. Murphy to sign executive order today requiring people in state to wear masks outside when “social distancing can’t be practiced.”

But it still seems ok to attend protests without a mask
This doesn’t appear to be well thought out. I am all in favor of wearing masks when I’m out, but only when I am coming close to other members of the public. When I am out walking and no-one is near me, I pull it down so that I can breath easier. Do I need to wear one driving, even though I’m the only one in the car? After all, this is in public. What about these restaurants that have opened. How do I eat if I am wearing a mask?
People if the numbers go back up in September that shits going to hit the fan big time in New Jersey. Do you look at the states down south and don’t look too good. Don’t be fooled. This is no normal regular virus. Wake up. If you don’t believe people what they’re saying go visit the hospital and talk to doctors and staffing. Then you’ll change your mind.

I would invite all who oppose the governor’s order to where a mask in public to convene in a two hour closed door meeting in the Village Hall to discuss a plan to keep the rest of us safe.
