Washington DC,  The National Association of Wholesale-Distributors (NAW) endorsed New Jersey’s 12th District GOP Candidate Daryl Kipnis in the 2018 congressional race.
“As a successful attorney for over a decade, Mr. Kipnis has been a strong advocate fighting against excessive and unfair taxation as well as over-burdensome governmental regulations,” Blake Adami, vice president of government relations for the association said Friday. “Mr. Kipnis believes in building a strong national infrastructure program to address our nation’s failing roads, bridges and highways and pledges to work tirelessly with the administration and congress to pass a large-scale comprehensive infrastructure package, that will help to revitalize the country’s infrastructure and drive economic growth in all sectors of the economy. The Board of Directors of the NAW Political Action Committee (NAW-PAC) fully endorses Daryl Kipnis for the New Jersey 12th Congressional seat.”

The Washington, D.C.-based association is composed of wholesaler-distributors and a federation of international, national, regional, state and local associations and their member firms, which total more than 30,000 employers that have locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, according to the organization’s website.

The association’s site said it serves as a link in the supply chain between manufacturers, retailers, and commercial, institutional and governmental end users.

The distribution firms it represents, vary widely in size, employ more than 5.9 million American workers and account for nearly $5.7 trillion in annual U.S. economic activity, which is 6.0 percent of the overall economy, according to the organization.

Kipnis said he was pleased to gain the association’s endorsement and is happy it sees him as a friend to businesses and a proponent of a strong economy.

“Wholesalers and distributors are the backbone of our business community and ensure that needed goods make it from manufacturers to consumers everyday,” Kipnis said. “The opportunities and growth enabled by this organization, and its members nationwide, are one of the main components in our nation’s economic engine. I am honored to gain this important organization’s support and trust to keep America moving in an economically robust direction once I get to congress.”

Kipnis said that making sure the nation’s infrastructure is in good shape is vital to the mission and daily operation of this sector of the economy and will be a major priority when he goes to work in Washington, D.C.
“We can no longer allow our roads, rails and bridges to suffer the neglect of the past several decades when, literally, so much is riding on them,” Kipnis said. “The transportation and distribution of consumer goods in the United States has always been a hallmark of our nation’s economic prowess. That legacy must continue.”
