Union thugs your day has come
Time for NJ taxpayer anger and frustration to come to the fore – enough of these unsustainable and unpatriotic union demands to steal more money from our pockets. All unions have done is destroy manufacturing jobs and ruin NJ’s economy.
No don’t blame the unions – they’re faultless. It’s all the fault of the Governors and the stupid voters who elected them. All the unions want is lifetime pensions and platinum health plans mandated in the state constitution so the stupid voters get what they deserve, i.e. Much higher taxes.
You bash teachers’ benefits –the promised package that included fringe benefits. We understood that we would get much smaller salaries than you in your “civilian” jobs with fat paychecks, but we accepted lower salaries with the promise of fringe benefits included in our contracts, i.e., health benefits and pensions. Did it never occur to any of you that taxes are the cost of your children’s educations? Apparently in your greed, you resent the taxes necessary to provide for the promises made to the PROFESSIONALS–YES, PROFESSIONALS–who make it possible for the next generations to succeed, also. You apparently want SOMETHING FOR NOTHING!!

And you have the nerve to accuse us of being unpatriotic when all we want is NO MORE BROKEN PROMISES and the benefits we EARNED per contract. As to manufacturing jobs lost: look back to Reaganomics and the 1 percenters shipping jobs overseas back years ago. Go and study your history — the unions made this country great. Or would you still want child labor, 80-plus hour-weeks, and no safety laws. Triangle Shirtwaist fire? Mine disasters? Black Lung? I’d be willing to bet you have no idea what that was all about.
The RPD has a black lung problem? Their average salary is over $130K a year, above the household median in Ridgewood. Add in platinum health benefits and “special” status that allows you to retire in your early fifties on a lifetime pension and I’m sorry E.M. But it’s not like we’re getting something for nothing. These demands are unpatriotic, putting your pension ahead of everyone else in the state is stealing from the rest of us to benefit you elite pensioners who negotiated excessive benefits to begin with. #Enough, #Taxedtodeath
Police and fire get smaller packages than the median household in Ridgewood? Check your facts E.M. It’s unpatriotic to have Villagers subsidizing better health benefit plans for Village and BOE employees than they get themselves, period.
Unpatriotic, what a load of crap you anti government workers throw out.
