Paramus NJ, the three state-run veterans homes were among the worst hit nursing homes in the COVID meltdown state of New Jersey, with more than 17% of their residents dying. Now we learn the administrators paid themselves heavy, unauthorized bonuses for their own dereliction.

The Wall Street Journal reports:

Eight of the nine senior managers who earned too much to qualify for Covid-19-related hazard pay at New Jersey’s state-run veterans nursing homes received it anyway, according to records obtained by The Wall Street Journal… nursing-home managers procured the payments after being repeatedly told that they were ineligible.

The federal stimulus funds were meant for lower-level state employees who worked in dangerous conditions dealing directly with Covid-19 patients, but not for administrators if they were simply performing their normal functions during the pandemic or those with salaries above a certain threshold.

Bonuses for ineligible administrators who oversaw mass death of American veterans, with federal tax dollars? There is a lot of competition for the worst governor in America, but Phil Murphy is giving Newsom (See above) and Cuomo a run for their money.

  1. And teachers union workers partied in Florida while kids were losing a year of their life. Nothing like a disaster to reveal scumbags of the society.

  2. The wars were a long time ago…I don’t think there’s an issue here… business as usual in New Jersey…the Veterans were old anyway.. maybe they died of old age..not covid-19
