Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood Shade Tree Commission in cooperation with the Village Council and the Village Administrator , are planting new trees in the Central Business District.
I’ve been missing a tree out front for 7 years.
Did they ever find Tree Guy ?

Meh. They plant a couple of tress and consider it a big deal. Why does it take so long to plant a few trees? Downtown has been bare since 6-7 years for no reason. There were trees there and it gave RW Avenue a really nice look. Yet, nobody cared to replace what was taken down. This town is managed by either incompetents or business people “serving” as town officials who don’t see tree replacement as a worthy business. With the taxes we pay this town should be an environmental paradise instead we see tree trucks parading our streets and giant trees taken out without a blink. And NO, not all those killed trees are ash and NOT all ash trees are sick and need to be condemned. There are ways to treat them but there is no $$$ to be made.
Standing on the root ball is one of the worst things to do so we can start there.
