New York NY, the Ridgewood blog readers will recall that then-NY governor Andrew Cuomo , like Governor Murphy was responsible for policies that led to thousands of deaths from Covid in nursing homes. Cuomo tried to cover it all up while collecting a $5.1 million book advance to brag about his “success.”
But we now have a third report from New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli that finds there were 13,147 nursing home resident deaths with COVID while Cuomo officials published the number as 9,076. That’s close to a 50 percent increase or 4,000 additional deaths.
The report found that New York surveyed just 20% of nursing homes for infection control measures “compared with over 90% for some other states.”
Meanwhile Andrew Cuomo said Thursday he’s open to running for New York governor again — and would consider creating his own political party to do so, testing the theory that you can fool all of the people all of the time .
This the “next shoe to drop” which was being held back for use in the unlikely event (which of course has now cone to pass) of campaign-coffer-rich Cuomo beginning to make untoward noises about running again for the governorship of New York.
He is a disgrace to New York.
