Newark NJ, what started off as a seemingly well-intentioned partnership has turned into a giant embarrassment for the city of Newark. Earlier this year, Mayor Ras Baraka invited what he thought was the Hindu nation of Kailasa to Newark’s City Hall for a cultural trade agreement, but it turns out Kailasa is no nation at all; it’s a fake.

“Kailasa” is the brainchild of Swami Nithyananda, a notorious scam artist and fugitive from India who has been on the run from rape charges since 2019.

Now a political feud erupted between Newark’s Democratic mayor and a South Jersey Republican over a fake country. Republican state Senator Mike Testa, like many of us, is getting tired of the stupid BS .Testa criticized the city of Newark for being scammed into a sister city relationship with the non-existent country of Kailasa. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka fired back at the senator during his State of the City speech this week.

“The fact that they couldn’t even do a proper check to find out whether they were making a sister city agreement with a false nation,” Testa said. “He has much bigger problems than Mike Testa. And I think he should stop trying to punch way above his weight class.”

Baraka of course played the race card saying in his speech that Testa’s criticism was a pile-on. He also said Testa had “disdain” for working with people of other nationalities.

  1. this is hysterical !

  2. Ignorance begets ignorance.
This is what comes from woke political posturing replacing actual governing in the publics best interest.
