HOBOKEN NJ , Newell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) today announced the companies  decision to move its corporate headquarters from Hoboken to Atlanta, Georgia, in order to facilitate a stronger connection between senior leaders and the operations of the business, and to enhance the company’s culture and sense of community. Three of Newell’s seven operating divisions (Writing, Baby and Food) are based in Atlanta.

  1. Ha! No shit.
Like many more businesses and families to come.
It’s over for the tri state and NJ is front and center. The last decade of over taxation and rampant union corruption has been deposited on our doorstep. Of course the union slobs will continue to justify their existence but from here forward they will only be talking to one another…everyone else will be gone.

  2. Lots of new cookie shops and gold pawn shops though!

  3. Following Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2015 move from Montvale to Atlanta? This trend can only accelerate with the out of control spending in NJ at all levels of government – state, County, municipal! The public sector unions (teachers, police, fire) just get whatever they ask for – no questions asked! And if the taxpayers do ask, they get the “impasse! – lets go to mediation” in all contract negotiations. Employers and taxpayers are constantly being screwed in NJ. Why would any employer want to force that on their employees? Or invest more here?
