Trenton NJ, Senator Kristin Corrado responded to news that Governor Phil Murphy will announce that he’s lifting the school mask mandate in March, saying he should end the mask mandate and restore parental rights now.

“Parents want their rights to make masking decisions for their kids restored today, not next month,” said Corrado (R-40). “Governor Murphy should Give It Back now. There’s no excuse to wait any longer.”

On Thursday, Senate Republicans launched the “Give It Back” initiative to give New Jerseyans an opportunity to tell Governor Phil Murphy in a unified voice to give back everything he has taken from them over the past two years, including parental rights to make mask decisions for their children.

Thousands of New Jerseyans have already told Governor Murphy to “Give It Back” at http://www.giveitback.us.

  1. Can’t wait for the scaredy-cats to respond.

  2. Covidians are too scared to approve this. Go to any kids b-day party in RDWD – parents wear cloth masks. Even
    CDC says those don’t work!

That creates a problem for Murph and Brandon. They can’t just declare that a staple of their failed Covid management strategy has been pointless. Covidians who base their entire self- value narrative on virtuous superiority over plebs would flip out. Or worse – question if they’ve been lied to by the authorities over the last 2 years.

New “study” says it reduces Covids 🙂

  4. Lifting mandate and putting decision on school districts to continue or end the mandate is weak and will create school board issues with parents.

  5. Ridgewood:

According to this announcement, districts will have the ability to set mask requirements for students and staff once the Executive Order expires.

We are currently awaiting the release of official guidance and recommendations, which will help us establish our own mask policy

  6. The problem is that the Dems made Covid their single campaign theme and as such, they now have to somehow put the genie back into the bottle. Their supporters have developed this cult-like belief that not wearing a mask makes you some kind of MAGA-hat-wearing numbskull.

  9. Follow the science.
    Masks DON’T work.
    Masks NEVER worked.
(Even N95 masks don’t stop the spread of COVID – YES, N95 stops transmission into the nose and mouth, but COIVD is airborne and is readily transmitted into the eyes)

Masking is and was always a calming and controlling strategy.

People feel like they are “doing something” (anything)
and government (Democrats) maintain control of the narrative, the election, the people, the power.

  10. Murphy lifting mandate but leaving ultimate decision to school district. Lets see what school districts decide w pressure from teachers union to align with the WH and keep mandates in place.

Wait until the ADA lawsuits start.
