If you or someone you know may be suffering an overdose, do not delay in seeking medical attention. The Overdose Prevention Act protects those who, in good faith, seek medical assistance for an overdose victim. Those persons are immune from arrest and prosecution on a charge of use or simple possession of illegal drugs. The immunity extends to the person suffering the overdose as well.
