Ridgewood NJ, tonight, skywatchers have a rare chance to spot a massive asteroid passing by Earth — close enough to be seen with binoculars. Asteroid 877 Alinda, measuring 2.6 miles wide (about the width of Manhattan), will be visible near the constellation Gemini.
