Atlantic City NJ,  According to Tripadvisor’s Seasonal Travel Index for Fall 2020, Atlantic City is one of the top travel destinations this fall, ranking third in the nation. The resort destination provides diverse offerings, outdoor activities, and relaxing amenities for visitors, which are increasingly attractive to travelers as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor Murphy Allows “Open Container” Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages on the Atlantic City Boardwalk

Atlantic City  NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed legislation (A299), which allows alcoholic beverages to be consumed from open containers on certain outdoor property located within the Atlantic City Tourism District, upon authorization by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). The bill defines an “open container area” as portions of the beach, boardwalk, and other areas within the Atlantic City Tourism District, as determined by CRDA, in which pedestrians are permitted to carry and consume open containers of alcoholic beverages.

Atlantic County Freeholders Support Call to Lift Indoor Restrictions and Reopen Businesses

Atlantic City NJ, The Atlantic County Board of Freeholders unanimously passed a resolution on August 18 supporting County Executive Dennis Levinson’s request for Governor Murphy to lift the current restrictions on indoor dining and entertainment that are having a devastating economic impact on Atlantic County businesses.

“For the freeholders, this was not a political decision between Democrat Governor Phil Murphy and Republican County Executive Dennis Levinson; it was a choice between what is right and what is wrong, between economic survival and bankruptcy,” explained Levinson.

Data Says Lift Indoor Dining Restrictions

Atlantic City NJ, On August 14, Governor Murphy asked New Jersey residents to bear with him and his administration while they decide when and how to permit indoor dining at restaurants and bars or allow gyms, movie theaters or entertainment venues to reopen.

But Atlantic County’s businesses cannot afford to wait any longer, according to County Executive Dennis Levinson.

New Jersey Dethrones Nevada as Top Destination for Sports Betting

ATLANTIC CITY NJ,  New Jersey  took in more sports bets last month than Nevada .According to gambling regulators in both states, New Jersey saw $318.9 million worth of bets, edging past Nevada, which took $317.4 million.

Earning New Jersey casinos and racetracks made $15.5 million in revenue, compared to $11.6 million in Nevada. ever since New Jersey won a U.S. Supreme Court case in May 2018 that cleared the way for all 50 states to offer legal sports betting sports betting has  grown very rapidly in the state dethroning Nevada as the sports betting capital of America.
