American Dream Mall Evacuated After Suspicious Vehicle Alert, Reopened Safely

East Rutherford NJ, the American Dream mall faced an unexpected evacuation early Tuesday evening after a suspicious vehicle was spotted in the parking garage, according to authorities.

Around 5:30 p.m., mall security noticed a Tesla parked on the ground level of the C parking deck with its driver’s side door left open and unattended. The vehicle’s unusual state raised concerns, prompting immediate action. Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police stated that after a K-9 sweep, the dog alerted the team, signaling potential danger.

UPDATE: Four-Car Chain-Reaction Crash on Route 17 Leads to Arrest of 18-Year-Old for DWI

Saddle River NJ, a four-car, chain-reaction crash occurred Saturday night on Route 17 South near East Allendale Road when a Range Rover lost control and rear-ended two police vehicles and a stopped car. The driver, Joseph Ford, 18, of New York City, was later arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI), along with multiple other charges.

Englewood Cliffs NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 29-year-old HARSHKUMAR H. PATEL of Piscataway, NJ on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a weapon. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Englewood Cliffs Police Department under the direction of Chief William Henkelman.

Linden NJ, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, the Division of Criminal Justice and the New Jersey State Police have announced charges against Desmond Bullock, 48, Andrew Zeleniak, 31, both of Carteret, N.J. and Heather James, 37, of White House Station, N.J., with human trafficking and related offenses for allegedly human trafficking two juvenile females at a motel in Linden in Union County, New Jersey.
The case was investigated by the Division of Criminal Justice, New Jersey State Police and Linden Police Department.

Rollover Accident Shuts Down Garden State Parkway in Twp. of Washington

Twp. of Washington NJ, all travel lanes of the Garden State Parkway southbound in Washington Township, Bergen County were closed temporarily on Saturday morning, 04/20, as emergency crews worked to safely remove an individual from a passenger vehicle that had rolled over. Washington Township first responders were assisted at the scene by Paramus Police ESU and Westwood EMS. No information was available as to the victim’s condition. New Jersey State Police Bloomfield Barracks Troopers responded to the incident as well. A flatbed tow truck was standing by to remove the wrecked vehicle.

Garfield NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of JAYSON RIVERA (DOB: 12/25/2000; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; BRYANT SANCHEZ (DOB: 11/29/1997; single; carpenter) of Paterson, NJ; ERONY SANCHEZ (DOB: 04/02/1996; single; unemployed) of Clifton, NJ; and DANTE MOORE (DOB: 08/14/1990; single; retail) of Passaic, NJ on murder charges. RICKY “ANGEL” VARGAS (DOB: 07/18/1988; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, PA was charged with murder and is currently a wanted fugitive from justice. The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard M. Uram.
