Wishing Everyone Celebrating a Bright, Peaceful, and Joyous Diwali!

Ridgewood NJ, Tonight night, Monday, October 20th, marks the new moon (no moon day), when the sky will be dark — a significant time for many who celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights.

Diwali is traditionally a five-day festival, but the third day — when the skies are dark (New Moon Day) — is the one most people recognize as “Diwali Day.” It celebrates the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, and for many Hindus, it marks Lord Rama’s coronation as king, a story cherished for over 7,000 years.
