US Surgeon General Calls for Warning Labels on Social Media to Protect Children’s Mental Health

US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy has urged Congress to mandate warning labels on social media platforms, similar to those on tobacco and alcohol, to alert users to the potential harm these platforms pose to children’s mental health.
