Most of what North Jersey households spend on entertainment stays close to home. Trips into Manhattan for a show or a ballgame still happen, but the recurring money goes to indoor play spaces, bowling and arcade venues, trampoline parks, climbing gyms and the birthday parties that fill all of them on weekends. These are places parents book twice a month rather than twice a year.
