JERSEY CITY, NJ — Federal investigators say a smokey fire that forced the evacuation of a crowded PATH train in Jersey City earlier this month was likely caused by electrical arcing on the tracks, according to a preliminary report released Wednesday.

NEW YORK CITY — A multi-bus crash at the Port Authority Bus Terminal early Wednesday morning has injured at least a dozen people and severely disrupted New Jersey Transit bus service and Lincoln Tunnel traffic, according to officials.

The New York Port Authority bus terminal closed this morning due to a multi-bus collision, according to NJ Transit.

Wharton NJ, after months of delays, detours, and traffic headaches, drivers and local businesses near I-80 in Wharton are finally getting a break. The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced that two eastbound lanes of I-80 are expected to reopen Wednesday night, weather permitting. The reopening comes after extensive closures caused by multiple sinkholes, which began forming over the winter.
