South Korean Home Appliance Company Winia Electronics America becomes the New Owner of the Southpole Building in Fort Lee

Fort Lee NJ, Martin Kim, the new owner of the Southpole Building, located at 222 Bruce Reynolds Boulevard in Fort Lee, met with Mayor Mark Sokolich and Councilman Harvey Sohmer this afternoon to introduce himself as a business owner and a new member of the community. Kim is the owner of a South Korean home appliance company called Winia Electronics America, Inc., which the building will be named after. Mr. Kim said he is looking forward to becoming an active member of the community and presented the Mayor with a $3000 check for the Fort Lee Charitable Foundation for Fort Lee. We welcome Mr. Kim to Fort Lee and thank him for his generosity.

Fort Lee Hit With “Parkgate” as Mayor and Council Eye Historic Park for Parking lot and Turf Fields

Fort Lee NJ, recently, the residents of Fort Lee discovered by accident, that their passive park is at risk of being turned into a 100 car parking lot, a softball field, and a soccer field.  The park is home to thousands of trees that fight both air pollution, noise pollution, provide shade to walkers/runners and home to so much wildlife.  All of this planning has been done without any notice to any residents.
