Lawsuit Alleges Evidence Mishandled, Destroyed in Sheridan Case

Ridgewood NJ, La Bella Pizza, located at 102 North Maple Avenue Ridgewood, was destroyed in a general alarm fire that broke out shortly before 2:00 PM on Sunday, 04/24. Ridgewood FD paid and volunteer personnel were assisted by mutual aid fire units from several surrounding municipalities. Smoke damage affected at least four (4) neighboring businesses in the strip mall where the pizza parlor was located. North Maple Avenue was closed in both directions between Franklin Avenue and Linwood Avenue as emergency crews worked. The pizza establishment was reportedly closed at the time the blaze broke out. The entire strip mall was evacuated as a precaution several minutes into the fire.
