Hawthorne NJ, Hawthorne EMS transported one (1) victim to The Valley Hospital following a two (2) vehicle, Friday afternoon, 04/27, crash in front of 1050 Goffle Road, Hawthorne. The victim, an adult female, appeared to have sustained a non life threatening injury. Both vehicles were removed by a flatbed tow truck. Hawthorne Police investigated the incident and provided traffic control at the scene.

Ho Ho Kus NJ, Ho-Ho-Kus Police requested the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office “Quick Response” SWAT Team on Friday afternoon, 03/23, to search for an individual who reportedly made a threat to commit “suicide by cop,” Heavily armed SWAT Team personnel searched a unmarked white van with out of state plates that was parked in the rear of 215 Brookside Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus with negative results. Ridgewood Police assisted with crowd and traffic control. No explanation was provided as to how the van became a search target.

Mahwah NJ, for the second time this week  a truck crash on route 17 caused traffic delays . A tractor trailer loaded with Coca Cola rolled over on the flyover ramp of the Route 17/Route 287 interchange in Mahwah on Friday afternoon, 02/24. The truck landed on its right side; the driver, who sustained a minor leg injury, was extricated by Mahwah PD and FD personnel. A crash related fluid spill was attended to by Mahwah FD. The ramp remained closed for an extended period to facilitate righting and removal of the crashed vehicle. Mahwah EMS & Fire Police, NJ State Police, and NJ DOT units also responded.
