Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, A historic treasure in Bergen County is securing its future. The New Jersey Historic Trust has announced that The Hermitage, a National Historic Landmark nestled in Ho-Ho-Kus, has been awarded a prestigious 2025 Preserve New Jersey Historic Preservation grant.
The Clarke Caton Hintz preservation team began the kickoff site assessment at The Hermitage on January 15th, launching work on the Historic Site Management Plan funded by the Bergen County Historical Commission and the New Jersey Historic Trust. HO-HO-KUS, NJ (January 15, 2026) – Friends of the Hermitage announced today that it has been awarded a combined $128,000 in historic preservation planning grants from the Bergen County Historical Commission Open Space Trust Fund and the New Jersey Historic Trust to complete a comprehensive Historic Site Management (HSM) Plan for The Hermitage, one of Bergen County’s most significant historic landmarks.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the Hermitage Museum annual Art and Craft Show is back. Located at 355 Franklin Turnpike, HoHoKus, NJ, (next to Ridgewood} on Saturday, August 10, from 10 to 5 with the annual outdoor Hermitage Art & Craft Show featuring 80 talented exhibitors set up on the beautiful tree shaded front lawn.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, Mark your calendar! The annual Hermitage Outdoor Art & Craft Show is Saturday, August 14, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (rain or shine). Over 70 exhibitors will be participating on the tree-shaded front lawn of the historic Hermitage Museum, 335 North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus. Food, desserts, homemade ice cream and Italian ices served. Friends of the Hermitage, a charitable organization, is sponsoring this event. Admission is $4.
