Franklin Lakes NJ, five years after a tragic fire destroyed it, the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes has reopened with a brand-new $17.4 million sanctuary. The church celebrated the occasion with a Mass of Dedication on September 17, filling the 700-person capacity sanctuary with parishioners eager to witness this long-awaited moment. The Mass was led by Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, Archbishop of Newark, alongside the church’s pastor, Rev. John R. Job.

Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education Receives a $10 million Gift from Dave and Cheryl Duffield for the Construction of a New Gymnasium and Wellness Center

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education announced yesterday the receipt of a $10 million gift from Dave and Cheryl Duffield for the construction of Duffield Hall, a new gymnasium and wellness center, at the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School. The gift represents the largest donation ever received by the district. The project will involve the demolition of the current gymnasium area and construction of a new, state-of-the-art gymnasium and wellness center that will include flexible classroom space. The project was designed by LAN Associates and will be built by Donnelly Construction. The project is planned to be completed in the spring of 2024.

Ridgewood School Board Choses LAN Associates without a bid process

LAN Associates provided a document yesterday at the tour of Somerville school, which estimated the projected cost of the referendum FOR Somerville school to be $6,180,410.

This cost is estimated to the last dollar amount, and then during the tour, he mentioned that he is not yet certain which boiler is he going to recommend for Somerville (i.e. standard efficiency or high efficiency). How did LAN arrive at a dollar amount, without those details?

LAN Associates Presents Capital Improvement Plan for Ridgewood Schools

Ridgewood NJ, Mr. Steve Secora (LAN) presented information on recommended capital improvement projects for a possible future bond referendum. The review included prioritized projects at each of the district schools, with a focus on mechanical systems and classroom/corridor/bathroom upgrades. The RHS projects include fire alarm upgrades and drainage improvements as well as HVAC equipment replacement. The BFMS projects include an upgraded auditorium and media center.
