Fair Lawn NJ  ,a  New Jersey Transit train struck and killed a pedestrian in Fair Lawn on Thursday evening. According to a NJ Transit spokesperson , Bergen County Line train 1171 out of Hoboken hit the pedestrian just west of the Radburn Station in the borough at around 6:52 p.m.

State Police Seeking Public’s Assistance with Identifying Human Remains

Brielle NJ, the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Transit Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the body of a woman that was fatally struck by a train in Monmouth County in 2008.

Crash Involving a New Jersey Transit Train in Glen Rock Sends One to Valley Hospital

Glen Rock NJ, An SUV driver was transported by Glen Rock EMS to The Valley Hospital after sustaining non life threatening injuries in a crash involving a NJ Transit train on Rock Road in Glen Rock early Sunday evening, 11/05. The driver of an SUV hit a commuter train .

Glen Rock Police, Fire and NJ Transit Police responded to the incident. The vehicle was removed by a flat bed tow truck. NJ Transit Police is handling the investigation. The incident occurred at NJ Transit’s Bergen Line grade crossing.

New Jersey Transit Train Passenger Arrested After Threat

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey Transit train passenger is undergoing a psychological evaluation after authorities say he made a threat against the commuter railroad.

NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith says 29-year-old Mohammed Mahmoud of South Amboy was riding on a North Jersey Coast Line train headed for Bay Head when he made the unspecified threat around 6 p.m. Monday.

The train was stopped and searched at the Newark Airport Station. Passengers were evacuated while Mahmoud was detained. Nothing suspicious was found.
