Ridgewood NJ, When an emergency strikes, every second counts. Yet, patients across New Jersey are facing massive delays before ever seeing an ER doctor.
According to a comprehensive data analysis by Compare the Market, 48 New Jersey hospitals have average emergency room wait times that exceed the national average. The study reviewed 2,095 hospitals across the United States using publicly available historical performance data compiled from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting datasets via HospitalStats.org. Nationally, the benchmark average emergency room wait time sits at 2 hours and 42 minutes. Unfortunately for Garden State residents, a vast majority of local facilities fail to meet that standard.
