The Ridgewood Village Council has voted to approve substantial funding for a brand-new playground, ensuring a major boost to recreational facilities for the community’s youngest residents. Ordinance No. 4062, passed on final reading at the special public meeting on November 5, 2025, authorizes $618,000 for improvements to Kings Pond Park and Playground.

Ridgewood Schedules Public Hearing on Parkland Disposal & New Recreation Plans for September 9

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village of Ridgewood has announced a public hearing to address a long-standing land issue involving 0.378 acres of former parkland that was sold without proper approval in 1983. The meeting will take place on September 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Patrick A. Mancuso Senior Center, located on the first floor of Ridgewood Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue. Hybrid Zoom access will also be available for residents who wish to participate remotely.
