Paterson NJ,  A former commissioner with the now-defunct Paterson Municipal Utilities Authority was sentenced today to 35 months in prison for engaging in two separate schemes to steal funds from the Paterson Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA), U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Waldwick Contractor Admits Role In Scheme With Former Municipal Utilities Authority Commissioner To Steal Funds And Pay Kickbacks

Waldwick NJ, A Paterson-based contractor today admitted conspiring with a commissioner of the now-defunct Paterson Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA) to steal funds and pay kickbacks in return for obtaining work from the authority, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Anthony Cacciola, 47, of Waldwick, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit extortion under color of official right.
