Ridgewood NJ, New fiberglass planters are now being placed throughout Ridgewood’s Central Business District by employees of the Village’s Parks Division. The new fiberglass units replace planters that were made of concrete, which subjected them to frequent cracking due to the freeze-thaw cycle. Gravel is being placed in the bottom of each new unit to provide stabilization because of their rounded bottoms.
