Village of Ridgewood: Rechargeable Batteries Should not be Placed in Bulk Refuse

Ridgewood NJ, in light of this week’s sanitation truck fire, the Village of Ridgewood is reminding residents that rechargeable batteries, single-use lithium batteries and computer parts SHOULD NOT BE PLACED IN TRASH OR BULK REFUSE. Please refer to the above graphic for guidance on the proper disposal of various types of batteries. Many items, including electronics, automobile batteries and printer cartridges, can be brought to the Recycling Center. Please refer to the 2025 Ridgewood Green Guide. Hazardous household waste can be dropped off at a Bergen County Utilities Authority collection event.
