Alpine NJ, the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police are actively pursuing the whereabouts of an individual reported missing on Wednesday in Alpine. Law enforcement discovered an unoccupied white 2022 Mazda CX-5 at the Alpine Lookout, registered to a person reported missing to the New York City Police Department the day before, intensifying concerns. Although the missing person remains unidentified, the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police, in collaboration with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Drone and K-9 units, conducted a comprehensive search operation. Despite K-9 tracking leading to an area along the cliffs’ edge, the New Jersey Search and Rescue Team was summoned, and various search methods yielded no immediate results. The investigation is a joint effort between the Parkway Police Detective Bureau and the NYPD 1st Precinct Detective Squad.
