Harrington Park NJ, yesterday morning at 7:00AM, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Harriot Ave. near West Shore Road. According to sources a 59-year-old resident of Harrington Park suffered a broken leg after being struck by a vehicle while walking along the road. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, near the intersection of Harriot Avenue and West Shore Road. The driver, a 35-year-old female from Township of Washington, struck the pedestrian while she was walking eastbound in the eastbound lane. There was no suspicion of impairment on the driver’s part, and she remained at the scene of the accident. The Harrington Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps provided initial medical care, stabilizing the patient and splinting her leg. She was then transported by AirMed One to Hackensack University Medical Center. Harrington Park police were conducting an investigation into the incident.
