Two Juveniles Admitted to the Valley Hospital Emergency Room after Underage Drinking Party in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, On 8/29/17 patrol units responded to a Prospect Street residence to investigate a report of a loud juvenile party. Upon further investigation a 46 year-old female from Ridgewood was arrested at the scene, transported to Ridgewood Police headquarters, charged with making alcoholic beverages available for consumption and released with a pending court date. Twelve juveniles were released at the scene after juvenile releases were completed, three other adults were issued Special Complaints for underage consumption/possession and two other juveniles were admitted to the Valley Hospital emergency room for treatment.

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Ridgewood Police a Waldwick, N.J. resident reported he was admitted and treated at the Valley Hospital emergency room on January 27 where he became the victim of theft. The victim reported while being treated he was asked to remove an 18 karat gold bracelet from his wrist and he complied. The victim reported upon being discharged the bracelet, valued at $1500, was never returned to him.

Ridgewood NJ, Rhe Ridgewood Police report that on Friday, October 9, 2015, a youth dance party sponsored by the Ridgewood Guild was held at Van Neste Park. During the course of the evening eleven (11) juveniles displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol necessitating their being taken into custody for their safety before being released to parental/adult custody.

Additionally two (2) juveniles were transported to the Valley Hospital Emergency Room by the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment of medical emergencies related to the consumption of alcohol. Juvenile complaints for underage consumption of alcohol are pending.
