Northvale NJ, Saturday just before 7:30pm, Norwood EMS was requested as part of the Second Alarm assignment for a fire in the Borough of Northvale. Ambulances 41-BLS-2, 41-BLS-3 as well as 41-First Responder responded to the scene to assist.
Responding fire departments quickly knocked the fire and operated on scene for just under 2 hours.

With two Norwood ambulances committed to the fire scene (one which had to transport a patient from the scene), an additional full crew responded to our HQ to handle a Medical call in West Norwood in our third ambulance, 41-BLS-1.
At one point, since all 3 ambulances were handling simultaneous calls, the only vehicle inside our building was our golf cart, and our members are already exploring how to get that to the scene next time.

Norwood volunteers showed up in force Saturday night with a total of 10 members responding, staffing all three ambulances and two of our support vehicles.

Ridgewood EMS had triple that at the Bagelicious fire, during a pandemic. Now they’re gone because the fire chief wants to play politics and protect his golden goose at $7 million a year.
