Ridgewood NJ, An 80-year old male experienced a medical episode which caused him to loose control of his vehicle and crash into an unused building at the Ridgewood train station on Wednesday afternoon, 06/05. The victim refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital and was driven home by a private party. However, the historic building that was struck and the victim’s 4-door sedan both sustained extensive damage. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire, Ridgewood EMS, Ridgewood Emergency Services and representatives from the Village of Ridgewood’s Building and Engineering Departments all responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked sedan from the scene. North Broad Street in Ridgewood remained closed in both directions while emergency responders worked.

Weird to think of that as an “unused building”. Whatever other uses it had previously, for a long time the Ridgewood Taxi dispatchers occupied it 24/7 and taxi drivers buzzed in and out of it like bees. But times have changed and it’s empty now for sure.
That building is so dirty .
Yes especially the first floor, extremely dirty filthy what is going on there. Who owns it and why is it never rented.
The Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce should move to that building.
CONVERT THE UNUSED BUILDING INTO A GINORMOUS GARAGE… WE NEED TWO.
