Our 52 certified waterfront lifeguards are public safety professionals who stay alert, vigilant, and attentive so that residents and visitors can safely enjoy Graydon Pool. Graydon Pool is open from May 31- through September 1, 2025,  11:00 am to 7:00 pm daily. The Village Manager Keith Kazmark posted on Facebook , “We appreciate all they do for our Village!”.

  • Adults Aged 25 to 34 See Sharpest Spike: Adults aged 25-34 in New Jersey saw the steepest increase of any age group at 4.1 percentage points, with their obesity rate growing from 23.7% to 27.8% during that span.

Ridgewood NJ, Obesity remains a major public health challenge in the United States, affecting more than one-third of adults and contributing to a wide range of chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. It is strongly associated with physical inactivity, poor diet, genetics, and socioeconomic factors, and its prevalence continues to grow. Over the past decade, obesity rates have increased across every adult age group, rising by approximately five percentage points nationally.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A tragic workplace accident has claimed the life of a 40-year-old Costa Rican painter, who fell two stories while working on a Ridgewood home earlier this month, authorities confirmed.

Ridgewood police said they responded to a call at 152 Kenilworth Road on Tuesday, August 12, at 1:45 p.m., after reports of a man who had fallen from a roof. The victim was identified by his brother, Carlos Solís, as Heriberto Solís Fallas, of Irvington.

Home Improvement Scammer Who Stole $25K From Glen Rock Senior Arrested in New York

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A New York man accused of swindling elderly North Jersey residents out of nearly half a million dollars is now in custody after police tracked him down, authorities confirmed.

At 12:07 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, the NYPD apprehended Abba Cohen, 40, of Flushing, NY, who was wanted in Glen Rock following a January 2024 home improvement scam that cost an elderly resident $25,800, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
