Pedestrian Struck, Franklin and Chestnut on Wednesday

(RIDGEWOOD- NJ) A pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Chestnut Street at approximately 5:20 PM on Wednesday. The adult male victim was in a crosswalk when he was struck by a Honda minivan.
The victim was alert and conscious upon the arrival of Ridgewood PD, Ridgewood Fire and Ridgewood EMS units. Also responding were paramedics from The Valley Hospital.
Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward was at the scene interviewing witnesses and assisting with the accident investigation.
