Ridgewood NJ, gas prices increased again in New Jersey and around the nation as a whole despite lower demand as travel restrictions remain in place due to the pandemic. AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $2.58, up three cents from a week ago. Drivers were paying an average of $2.53 a gallon a year ago at this time. The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $2.45, also up three cents from last week. Drivers were also paying an average of $2.45 a gallon a year ago at this time.
Crude oil has moved from $36.81 a barrel on November 2nd to $56.85 on February 5th as the US returns to policies of anti-energy independence . First the cancelation of the Keystone XL pipeline, next placing a moratorium on drilling on public lands, then rejoining the Paris climate accord all spell much higher prices at the pump . While no mention of fracking yet ,a ban lead to further oil price acceleration.
In early January, for the first time in most of our lifetimes, the United States imported a net zero barrels of oil from Saudi Arabia. An amazing testament to Trump’s energy independence agenda and the shale oil and gas revolution that has transformed the American economy. This independence won’t last long. As the new administration has told us, we are not allowed to produce oil in America any longer, making the Saudis smile.
Thanks President Biden
Rise
like the 70’s all over again
regular was 1.99 two months ago, now 2.45
The Ridgewood liberals got exactly what they paid for.
Wait until it’s $5.00 a gallon…
There is no average price at the pump for gasoline that would be high enough to cause *resident Hidin’ to raise even one plastically stretched eyebrow in response. The higher the better as far as that faux administration is concerned.
This is a perfect example of the liberal narrative they want us to follow. In order to appease the ‘climate change f/k/a global warming’ crowd, Biden cancels the environmentally friendly keystone pipeline.
However the real consequence is a GREATER CARBON FOOTPRINT from Warren Buffets trains that will now transport the oil to market.
This from the same crowd that tells you its possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
The leftists believe that by canceling the Keystone Pipeline, they have somehow won a battle against fossil fuels and big oil. What these idiots don’t understand is that demand for oil remains exactly the same, and to make up for what was being delivered by the pipeline now has to be made up by foreign imports, as well as transporting the oil across the country by road and rail. The consequential rise on oil costs affect not only the gas prices we pay for our cars, but mostly, increased costs in all kinds of shipping, which makes most of our products we buy more expansive.
That’s what the Democrats wanted so the people that voted for them to fall for dirty crap
Smart move Democrats.
