The so-called Senior Freeze applies not only to those 65+ years old but also to the blind and disabled. The town loses nothing; it is a state program and the state reimburses the difference. The deadline fot signing up this year is October 31. If you know of any New Jersey home owner in any of those categories who has lived in NJ for at least 10 years and in the same house for at least 3 years, do them a favor and mention it. The income cap (which incorporates everything, including Social Security payments) is higher than one might think.
