
Jackson Twp NJ, Public Safety Telecommunicator Rescues Unconscious Man from Burning Car
On Tuesday, August 13, Public Safety Telecommunicator Leonard Moore pulled an unconscious man from a burning car moments before it became fully engulfed in flames in Jackson Township, Ocean County.
At approximately 7:13 p.m., PST Moore encountered a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Toms River Road and Goez Lane.
PST Moore stopped his car and immediately ran to the accident to render aid. He saw that one of the vehicles was on fire and the driver was unconscious. Without hesitation, he removed the victim from the vehicle and moved him to a safe location before the vehicle became engulfed.
A short time later, members of the Jackson Police Department and Jackson EMS arrived on scene. After an evaluation, the driver was taken to the hospital.
