Ramsey NJ, on October 25th , in an inspiring show of quick thinking and teamwork, a group of students from Ramsey High School took action to stop a fire from spreading near their school. Early this morning, the students noticed a fire affecting a fence and the surrounding area in the backyard of a nearby home. With no time to waste, they formed a classic bucket brigade, working together to douse the flames before they could spread.
Thanks to the students’ quick response and coordination, the fire was contained to a small area, avoiding what could have been a much more significant incident. Ramsey Fire Chief Dougherty commended the students for their bravery and fast action, even presenting them with fire gear as a token of appreciation.
It’s not every day that high school students are called upon to act like first responders, but today, these young heroes stepped up to protect their community. Bravo to Ramsey High School’s own bucket brigade!
